A brother will
stay up half the night to talk,
A sister will
meet us to go for a walk.
A brother
loves to laugh and play,
His loyalty
will always stay.
A sister holds
vigil while we sleep,
Her care and
love run very deep.
A brother tells
us a story,
And in his
retelling gives us the glory.
A sister takes
us in
And helps us
to begin again.
A brother
knows us from our youth
And as an
adult gave us the truth.
A sister loves
us when we sing
And her
devotion means everything.
A brother calls
to talk
And says “I
love you” before he hangs up.
A sister’s one
who keeps our trust
And continues
to lift us up.
A brother
shares our cares
And remembers
us in his prayers.
A sister
listens in times of strife
And truly is a
friend for life.
A brother doubles
our joys
And halves our
sorrows.
A sister loves
us today
And hopes in
tomorrow.
